I love this analogy when it comes to Nutritional therapy: “If your bathroom was flooding, would you keep on mopping the floor, or would you turn off the tap? Nutritional therapy helps you to turn off the tap – the root cause of the problem, rather than keep mopping the floor – which is managing the symptoms”.

After years of sub optimal health and digestive issues in my teens, I was diagnosed with IBS around 2004. I found this diagnosis very unhelpful and was not prepared to rely on medication to manage my symptoms. I began doing my own research and experimented with eliminating certain foods saw improvements in my symptoms. This sparked a thirst for more knowledge in health and nutrition led me to do a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at the University of Nottingham in 2009. I then went on to complete a degree level diploma in Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and I graduated from here in 2016.

I now link my IBS diagnosis to multiple rounds of antibiotics as a child, which led me to developing something called SIBO. I wish I had known this sooner. Because of this, I am very passionate about helping people with IBS symptoms and gut issues because you really do not have to suffer. If you find out the root cause (because there always is one), and you eliminate that, rather than only focusing on the symptoms, then you truly can get your health back.

I now run my own clinic seeing a wide variety of clients where I use the latest scientific research in the field to help improve their health. I specialise in gut health however I also help people with hormonal imbalances (PCOS, endometriosis, infertility etc), auto-immune diseases, skin conditions, weight loss, migraines, food intolerances, asthma, eczema, diabetes, fatigue, adrenal dysregulation, stress management and much more.
